The 10 Best Sports Games For the Nintendo Wii

The 10 top sports games for the Nintendo Wii are chosen for interaction by the participant. The more activity it requires by the person playing it, the higher it's rank.

The Nintendo Wii allows the player to move their whole body or limbs while they play the sports game, whereas other gaming systems just requires the movement of the player's thumbs. The Nintendo Wii, while it may not have all the great graphics of the other systems, does require more involvement and therefore more coordination.

1) Wii Fit.

This game has over 40 Activities, to keep you going. You can do yoga exercises, strength exercises, aerobic exercises, and balance sports games. This game is still in great demand across the USA. I personally spend 50 minutes a day, no less than 4 times a week, this is the core of my exercise routine..

2) Wii Sports

This game is bundled with the Nintendo Wii. It has boxing, bowling, golf, Tennis and baseball, it makes more sense of nostalgia, that's how you play the Nintendo Wii used to. The graphics are not the best, but it's still fun to play.

3) Challenge of the active outdoor life

This game seems to be Wii Fit challenge. He has a lot of aerobic exercises, Wii Fit has, with double the fun. with over a dozen single and multi-player events like river rafting, mine-cart adventure jumping, logs, and much more. It is quickly becoming the darling of the youngand the old.

4) Wii Ski

The Wii Fit balance board is utilized with this game. There are "activities or missions" that are built into some of the games. There are over 14 different courses to ski, and three different levels - beginner and intermediate skiers, and black diamonds for the advanced skiers! Then there is also good old fashioned racing.

5) Tiger Woods Golf

Is by far the best golf game I have played. I already know what my golfing problems are - putting. This game has helped me to improve this part of my "real" game. I like the fact that you have to stand up and swing it like a real club. With Tiger Wood Golf 09 you can now play online. If you do not care about playing online, then get 08 for half the price. You can also set up a career for yourself, and work your way through the courses.

6) Super Swing Golf 1 or 2

This golf game is more arcade than real, but it is still fun. I like the fact that you can stand up and swing the controller like a golf club real. It 's fun just trying to hit the ball around obstacles

7) Top Spin

I like playing tennis, and this is the best game of tennis. You can swing the bat like in real life. You have to practice how to do it in real life. She has 19 stars to choose from. Unfortunately you can not play online. .

8) Madden NFL

Game.Play a good football like a pro, no matter what your skill level with the difficulty Adaptive Engine that fit yourexperience to suit your proficiency. There is a virtual training center where you can hone your skills. I am not a real football fan, but I am actually getting into this game. Made for 1 to 4 players, and you can play online.

9) Summer Sports

This is a lot of fun. My favorite games are the mini-golf and volleyball, but there are seven games to chose from - Basketball, Croquet, Lawn Darts, Badminton, Volleyball, Horse Shoes, and nine uniquely-themed Mini-Golf Holes. Although it is not Wii Sports or Wii Fit, I get to play the whole family.

10) Hooked

While I believe that fishing or hunting is not sport, I love this game. You work your way up the ranks from amateur to professional. I love fishing and this is a good game, although it has some problems, it is still fun.

I've never been a player, but now with the Nintendo Wii, I have to fight to play with my stepson, it's your turn. These are my favorite Wii>Sports Games. That is all I play on the Wii - sports because the game system is so interactive. So, the graphics are inferior to the Xbox or PS3. I played adventure games that had no graphics!

Why play sports games online estimation?

We all enjoy having a bit of a wager with friends when it comes to predicting the outcome of major sporting events. Whether it's for money or just pride, getting one over on your fellow man (or woman) is always a highly satisfying achievement. So why not go one step further and play against thousands of other experts in their field and win a few prizes too?

Online sports prediction games are a great way to bring people together and get competitive banter going. You will often have the choice to either pick a free game where you can simply predict the results and dent nothing more than your pride if you get it wrong. Alternatively there are also paid versions where you can play for big prizes.

Whether playing for free or in a premium game, the incentive to win is always the same. Even free games tend to have some form of ultimate prize that goes to the victor, although these are likely to be far less significant or common as for paid games - for obvious reasons. The premise is always remarkably straightforward. The more predictions you get right, the more points you get. At the end of the week, month or season winners will be picked and rewarded for their consistency.

Some online sites are dedicated to one sport in particular. So for example, if your sport of choice is baseball it makes sense that you join a community dedicated to it rather than a more general alternative. This of course goes for any number of

Sports Betting Strategies - Beating the Odds With Spread Betting

When making your own luck, you do not think of losing but rather think of its outcome. It is better to use a system of bets rather than just choosing a win or lose situation. In spread betting, you do just that. This method is based on a system wherein one would bet on the outcome of the game such as the score rather than the traditional "Who is the winner" type of betting. This type of betting is based on accuracy rather than luck so more people would definitely win if they use this sophisticated type of gaming.

Most people would prefer spread betting since they are more likely to win every time. For instance, most bets are based on a player or a team. Since most sports are based on a system of 2 opposing groups or players, the winnings are often divided in half. However, when a spread bet is involved more winnings would be involved since players would bet on a specific score bracket rather than the winner scenario. This means that the players would then be divided and the winner takes all. A very good example for this type of betting is professional basketball, since most games has an average score of 100 and the lowest winning score is often based on a score of 75 then people have a hard time choosing which score bracket would they choose. If a player bets right, then he would take all the winnings.

Rather than playing on the traditional form of betting, we should try considering taking our luck into a whole new ball game. Spread betting not only ensures that a player would win, but that player would take it all. This is great since it relies more on the accuracy of a bet rather than the "winner" type of betting. So before you even place your bets, you should know which type of betting is the best.

There are many types of sports. It can be categories in many ways. For example team sport or individual sport. Then, it can be further be break down into scored game like basketball or non-point game like boxing or horse racing. Depending on the type of sport that you engaged your money with, one of the most common type of bet in a scored game is money line bets. For example football and baseball matches usually have money line bets.

So what it money line bet? It is actually one of bets that is easy to understand and bet on. For example in a basketball game, the odds given are Team A is - 120 while Team B is + 160. This means the Team A is the hot favorite and B is the underdog. If you bet on Team A, you need to bet $120 to win $100 and if betting on Team B means you just need to bet $100 to win $160. The odd roughly tells you the relative strength between the 2 teams.

Sounds simple for you? It is as easy as picking who will win the game and you need not care about the actual score. However, in reality, you always need to wager more money to win the same $100 if it is a hot favorite. So the trick here is to make sure you win at least 60% when betting on the underdog. Yes, bet on the underdog and not the favorite. This is because it generates more revenue for you.

So now, learn to pick out the underdog that can help you win lots of money by studying the teams and the game now!

The Many Different Types of Sports

Every trivia game out there includes some sports trivia, and many a night has been passed in a sports bar by playing these types of games. Sports trivia in the United States typically includes trivia about the major televised sports in the country, such as football, baseball, basketball and hockey. Especially in the US, there is also a strong interest in college level sports. In other countries, soccer is usually the most popular sport, as well as individual competitive sports such as most of the Olympic contests.

A lot of the facts that show up on a sports quiz have to do with the records set by a sports team or by individual players of a sport, to begin with, the NFL. Much has been made lately of the return of Brett Favre to the game, so some good trivia could be all the records he holds. Favre has the records for most career pass attempts, completions, most passing yards, most seasons of 3000 yards or more, led the league in passing touchdowns a record 4 years, most passing touchdowns career, and, also the most career interceptions thrown. For a team record, take the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team that has won the most Super Bowls, including the most recent one.

Of course a sports quiz isn't going to be all about football, as other sports are also very popular in the US. Baseball is one of the most popular after the football, and is a great sport for highlighting the individual achievements of players, which makes for good trivia questions. The best records in baseball tend to be about home runs, or about pitching. The career leader in home runs is Barry Bonds, with 762. The two behind him are Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth with 755 and 713 respectively. Bonds also has the most home runs in a season, ahead of Mark Maguire and Sammy Sosa.

So what about some good statistics to know in case any trivia comes up about basketball? When you're talking about basketball records, that usually means that you're going to be talking about Michael Jordan. He had the highest career scoring average, at 30.1. He also had the highest points per game in the post season career average (33.4) and more scoring titles than any other player, with 10. Jordan was known most for his scoring, and one of his most impressive records is the record number of points he scored in a playoff game. In that single game in 1986 he scored 63 points.

Advantages and Disadvantages of the 2010 Olympics

With the 2010 olympic games well on there way a lot of thoughts come to mind. What will the olympics bring to us? Will it make money? Should we even be having the 2010 olympics? There are 2 sides in this endless argument. The people that dont want the olympics, and the people who do want it.

Before I explain the reasons why they want or don't want the Olympics there are a few things that come into play. Our economy, being in a state of disaster should the Olympics really be a top priority? Threats, the security for the Olympics must be top notch so that the people's safety is insured.

Time, is it really a good time for the Olympics with all that's going on war, natural disaster and economy should we really worry about the 2010 games? Keeping the Olympics. Our world has been having the Olympics for a very long time now should be even think about cancelling the Olympics?

The tradition is a very sacred one to world and the people who feel passionate about are taking a stand and saying that we shall not cancel this glorious event even in a time of crisis. Another factor is the athletes how do they feel? They have been training none stop for this glorious event.

It is there time to shine and having it taken away from them would be the worst thing we could do. Money being a very important role here, people are wondering if the Olympics would produce more money then it spent or will the Olympics plummet to debt.

The Olympics, an important event that has been going on for ever and is a tradition to the people of this planet, keeping the Olympics is an obvious YES. The Olympics do we need them? We are in a time of crisis, all the war in the Middle East, the state of our economy and a lot of other problems. The Olympics should take a back seat. The Olympics a onetime thing, then it's over a waste of money that we shouldn't be spending.

Being a double edged sword the Olympics could produce a lot of money or send us plummeting into debt. More likely debt seeing as we are already in a money situation. Taking this risk would be a big disadvantage for the people. The HIGH chances that the the Olympics do cause a money problem you, the people will be paying to clean it all up!

Is this risk worth taking? With all that's going on in the world the Olympics should definitely get to the back of the line in the priority list. The Olympics also bring a big invitation for those who would want to harm others. The security would have to be very good or else we could have ourselves a huge disaster if terrorists strike!

With all the risks we are taking with the Olympics is really a good idea to have these measly events? The many problems we already have and will have with the Olympics it's obviously a big NO. With all the good and bad that these events bring should we or should we not have the Olympics. Those who want and those who don't want the Olympics. Where do you stand in this OLYMPIC size debate?

Wii Sports Resort - Wii Fencing Minigame Review

Like many fencers, I approach any mention of "fencing!" in a game or movie with trepidation. I'm mainly looking at how "they" are going to screw things up and totally misrepresent fencing as a sport.

One of the most featured games in pre-launch was the "fencing" game in Wii Sport Resort. I saw the videos from E3 and the promotional stuff and just had to try it. After my really bad experience with Clone Wars: Jedi Duals, the bar was set pretty low.

The Asian influence is apparent in the game. The Wii menu calls the game "swordfighting" and not "fencing". Score +1 (for not trying to call it something it's not.)

When you set up for the game, you're put on a circular platform above the water (think dimensions of a wrestling mat) and are equipped with your "sword", which resembles a kendo shinai, head guard, and chest guard.

The motions are simple. You hold the Wiimote vertically and swing it to swing your sword. Pulling the trigger (B button) activates blocks so you can move the wiimote to parry oncoming attacks from your opponent. Though the on screen tutorial suggests holding the wiimote with two hands (like you would do in kendo), I used one hand.  (Made it easier to emulate actual sabre fencing techniques than trying to remember any kendo.)

I wanted to see what you could do with the game, so instead of just swinging away and wailing on my opponent, I held back to see what the parry system would be like. The earlier opponents are like your U rated fencers - they wind up and you know exactly where they are going to strike. Parries are executed as traditional sabre guards - 3, 4, and 5 will do just fine.

When you make a successful block, the attacker is "stunned" for a second which gives you the time to make your riposte. As you make successful hits to your opponent, they are driven back until they fall off of the mat, to fall American Gladiators style into the pool below.

My kids (4 and 6) enjoy just having another version of "lightsabre fighting" and wail away at their opponents. I'm enjoying setting up parry-riposte combos and testing out various tactics. (By the way, you can thrust and hit in this game.)

The lack of footwork control is a drawback, but it really does simplify the gameplay. (I would prefer some sort of way to dodge or get out of distance similar to Punch Out.)

Fun Games Unlocked after Duals

The other sword fighting games are a cutting challenge and then "running the gauntlet". Do the cutting challenge once to unlock the 3rd game, where you are the typical kung-fu hero fighting through the horde of bad guys until you reach the "big boss" (who really isn't that great either).

I've only played that game once, but it was a lot of fun having my Mii run across a rope bridge cutting through 20 opponents in just a few seconds!

Computer Word Games - Fun and Mind-Sharpening

Want to have fun and at the same time sharpen your mind? Why not play computer word games? There are a surprising variety of word games you can play online or download to your PC. As opposed to action-oriented, fantasy or sports-related games, word games can improve your vocabulary and other language skills.

Word games have been popular since long before personal computers, of course. Scrabble remains a popular board game for word lovers everywhere. There are now computerized Scrabble games as well. There are also various Sudoko games, jumbles, crossword puzzles and countless other varieties of challenges to your verbal and language abilities.

Computer word games are also a good way to teach children that words can be fun. Children of all ages, from the time they are just learning how to read right through their teens can benefit from playing games that test and improve their abilities. While there's no guarantee that playing them will improve their English grades, it probably won't hurt! And while your kids are playing word games, you can be reassured that they aren't playing violent games that involve all sorts of simulated mayhem. One thing many people who haven't played them don't know is that they can be just as addictive as World of Warcraft and other popular role playing games!

Many word games that you can play online or download are similar to games that have been around for decades, if not centuries. For example, the basic "jumble" type game, where you have to rearrange the letters displayed to find the word has been a favorite in newspapers for many years. There are also many books of jumble games. Now you can find many varieties of these jumble games in the updated computer version.

Word games can be played solitaire or competitively against others, depending on the game. Either way, this can be a fun and educational way to pass the hours, and it will do more for your mind than TV or your typical computer game!

Your betting is actually the key in maximizing your winnings while at the same time decreasing your chances of losing. Since you are more knowledgeable on the winnings of each team or players, you have a clear picture as to how each game would be played out. Most undisciplined gamblers have never anticipated the knowledge of other players and they would still place in wagers with an astonishing amount. Your bet would then dictate the pace of your winnings so if you already know the outcome of each game then bet with a reasonable amount. There are other spread betting tips which are actually based on this principle.

In every bet in spread betting, one would need a little knowledge about the game. Excellent betting is based on winning more while at the same time minimizing risks. Rather than losing more on betting, all you need to do is always place your bets when you have a clear outcome in that game. Most gamblers lose a lot because they have underestimated each game so you do not have to be like them.

Haiti - Culture And Sports

CULTURE

Like Katherine Dunham, Lillian Hellman, W.B. Seabrook, Erik Leonard Ekman, Alejo Carpentier, Selden Rodman, Noel Coward and Angeline Jolie, many people say that Haiti is the most beautiful country in the Caribbean. Known as the "Magic Land", Haiti is famous for its culture. Certainly, Haiti its culture, its superstitions and its music. The superstitions or voodoo plays a profound role in the lives of many Haitians. The voodoo was introduced into Haiti in the late 16th Century. Haiti is also famous for its painting, and finally for its ruins...for example the Sans Souci Palace, the most famous ruins in the Caribbean. Exactly, this enigmatic palace is considered a Cultural Heritage for Humanity by UNESCO. Originally constructed by black slaves, now Sans Souci is one of Haiti's main tourist attractions.

Since the late 1940s, Haitian painting, best known as "naïve art" or "intuitive art", is famous all around the World. The most important figure was Hector Hyppolite. His work made its biggest splash in the United States in the 20th Century. Other artists known internationally include Rigaud Benoit, Castera Bazile, Joseph Jean-Giles and Jean-Baptista Bottlex.Haiti is famous for its traditional sculpture. The best Haitian sculptor is Albert Mangoes.

Recently, he makes perhaps his best work: "Yele Haiti", a foundation which works for the human development in the Island. Like Miriam Makeba in South Africa or Bianca Jagger in Nicaragua, Jean loves his roots. In an interview for Magazine, Wyclef Jean discussed about Haitian roots: "I am 100% Haitian. I am proud to be Haitian. I still have my Haitian passport. I represent Haiti in everything that I do. Every head in the industry knows that I am Haitian...they know what I'm about. Cator returned home to a hero's welcome. From 1928 to 1930, he was record man in the long jump. Cator was a marvelous jumper and footballer. He also played an important role in popularizing football in the Island (it was the captain of Haitian National Team).

The other categories are Strength Training and Aerobics. You can even create a Wii Fit Channel - a mode where you don't have to put in the DVD to do a daily body test. Each time you do a body test you will be weighed and your balance will be tested. According to that you will get a score that is your Wii Fit Age. Don't take it too seriously if you are 10 or so years older than your real age. This should just motivate you to do daily exercises and keep in shape.

44. Wii Fit Plus - The just recently released sequel to the Wii Fit game. It combines the two games so you can play both of them from one CD. The difference is that you can now customize your workouts much easier and even decide if you want to do 20, 30 or 40 minute workouts. This is a very casual game, where there is no right or wrong. Just enjoy yourself while playing in a band. You can invite up to 4 people to play with you in your band. And you can even connect with friends through the Wifi connection. Choose your flavor like rock, jazz and Latin.

48. Yoga - just recently released yoga game that focuses not only on yoga itself but also on its unique lifestyle. It lets you choose between story mode, where you start off as a complete yoga beginner and end up as a yoga guru. Training mode, where you can learn new poses. And Routine mode where you customize a workout that puts together several yoga poses. This game is a must if you liked the yoga exercises in the Wii Fit game.

Most of the games are just casual games that you play for fun. Some of them are excellent fitness games like Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus. And my pick for the most fun game from the whole list: Marble Saga Kororinpa. In this game you have to balance a marble through a maze and collect colored gems on the way. Might sound boring to you, but when you play it you get really addicted. You can play this game also with the Wii Remote only. (Not less fun!)

Great Fun-Filled Camping Games

Next time when you go camping, try to play these fun games with people in your group or other campers. These activities can give you and your kids lots of laugh and a great way to build relationship with other campers.

1. Circle Jumping

Stand everyone in a circle with all hands clasped. One of the crowds lies down in the center with a rope as long as one-half the diameter of the circle.

To the end of the rope is tied a small weight like a sand bag. He whirls the weight around with the full length of rope revolving with increasing rapidity.

As it approaches the players, they hop up and let it pass under their feet. The one whose foot is touched is out of the game and the person who keeps out of the way of the rope the longest is the winner.

2. Wolf

Here is a Japanese game full of fun and action.

Place a dozen or more campers in line, and have each fellow place his hands firmly on the shoulders of the person in front of him.

Choose one of the fellows for the "Wolf." The first person at the head of the line is called the "Head" of the Serpent, and the last fellow is the "Tail."

The "Wolf" stands near the head of the Serpent until a signal is given. Then he tries to catch the "Tail" without touching any other part of the snake.

The others who form the body of the Serpent protect the "Tail" by wreathing about in all sorts of twists to prevent the "Wolf" from catching the "Tail." This must be done without breaking the line.

When the "Tail" is caught, the "Wolf" becomes the "Head," and the "Tail" becomes the "Wolf." The last person in line is the "Tail."

The game can be continued until every camper has been the "Wolf."

3. Rover, All Come Over

A line is marked dividing the campus. All the campers gather on one side. One person in the center endeavors to have them step over the line by calling out, "Rover, Rover, all come over!"

At the word "over" everybody is expected to run and cross the line, while the center man endeavors to catch one. The one caught must help him catch the others.

If any one runs over before the center man calls "over," he has to go to the aid of the catcher. When all are caught the game begins again.

4. German Bowling

Plant in the ground two posts, leaving at least 15 feet above ground.

Spike a 10-foot piece across the top. An ordinary ball used in bowling is used by plugging shut the holes and inserting a screw eye in one of the plugged holes.

Tie tightly to this screw eye a strong piece of rope.

A good-sized screw eye is fastened in the cross piece of the frame, and to this tie the ball. Nine bowling pins are used. The score is the same as bowling. The pins are knocked off by the return of the ball.

5. Water Baseball

The outfit required is a tennis ball, a broom stick and four rafts- one large and three small.

The batsman and catcher stand on the big raft. On a small raft, ten yards away, stands the pitcher and the other two rafts are placed at easy swimming distance for bases.

In striking, everything counts - bunt, swat or foul tip. The moment bat and ball come in contact the batsman starts for first base. There are five men on a side.

This game has lots of fun. Avoid remaining in fresh water too long as it has a tendency to weaken vitality.

Enjoy your outdoor camping!

Sports Betting Strategies - The World Has Changed

Sports betting is an interesting investment that can make or break you. With the low cost to engage in the activity and the promise of high return has lure sport lovers into putting some money into the game. Businessmen invest in the club directly while fans invest with the sport bookmakers. Ultimately it is all about reaping profits for the game. The world has changed and sport is not longer just a game for entertainment or competition.

So have you changed too? You bet! Since there wasn't internet in the past and now you are looking up for information on the net. We have adapted to the change and now it is time to also gain some extra benefits from the game.

But do not just follow the flow; make sure that you will gain more than anyone else.

One of the classic advices is to win big and lose small. But how do you really go about doing it? Depending on your risk adversity, there are different ways. If you are high risk adverse, then you should go for the 'safe' bets. These wagers general win most of the time but generate very little revenue. Also, if you lose once or twice, it can wipe out your profits immediately. One example is the straight bets.

If you can take risk and willing to put in some effort to make more money, try spread betting. It relies on your knowledge of the game rather than sheer luck.

So take a step forward and take on the challenge to earn some winnings now!

Sports Binoculars - Watch Live Games Close Up!

Do you enjoy watching live games in the stadium? People prefer to see their action on the television because at least the image is clear and they can spot the happenings. After all, who wants to see mosquitoes from the last bench of the stadium? But yet, live view is live view. Fret not, all you need is a small compact gadget called sports binoculars.

If you do not object to watching your game amidst people and the euphoria, sports binoculars would be the best thing for you. Chug it along, and hit the stadium. Last bench or first bench, nothing will miss your eyes now. Here are we with sports binoculars. Sports binoculars get their name for they are designed in such a way to optimize motion viewing.

The view of distant objects is denoted with magnification power and the size is denoted with zooming power. The sports binoculars have effective magnification power 8X, though the power varies from each variety. They have enormous field of view that would allow the spectators to view maximum field. The zooming power can be altered manually based on the individual needs to see the image bigger as desired.

Different types of lens coating are available but the recommended would be fully multi-coated lens that allows less light loss. These instruments are compact and light in weight. Therefore, can be handled with ease and does not create strain to the neck or hand. The size of the objective lens is large enough for maximum light to get absorbed.

Since these binoculars are meant for rapid action viewing, their focus needs to be swift and timely. You just cannot waste time in adjusting focus, because you will lose track of the action! Sports binoculars come with central focus which means just a twist of a circular knob will focus your object.

That has now been taken a step further as there are auto focus binoculars that make automatic focus adjustments to let you just view. The focus adjustments are based on the individuals eye power and the current models comes with good eye relief to suite both kinds of users - those who use eyeglasses and those who do not.

Sports binoculars are user friendly and do not involve complicated technical adjustments. After all, if the binocular threatens to come between the game and you, it is useless. It should be there, helping you, as unobtrusively as possible. A leather carry case, manuals, and a neck strap that can be adjusted as per individual needs are provided by almost all brands.

Sports binoculars are sturdy items and are lined with rubber to prevent scratches and impart some degree of waterproofing. These can be used by all and are light in weight, thus, can be carried along easily. Enjoy your game live. Get up, TV is just not big enough.

Why Play Sports Prediction Games Online?

This of course goes for any number of sports, from motor racing to soccer, there are prediction games aplenty on the Internet.

Obviously you need to find the one that works best for you. It's not a lot of fun if there's no chatting between members, sharing of tips or serious competition. You want to be able to pit your wits against the best, so that if and when you do finally prevail you can gloat with justifiable cockiness.

So to find the sports prediction game that you'll enjoy the most, get online and have a hunt around. As we've already covered, you shouldn't come up short in terms of options available. You might want to restrict it to local searches if you are keen to only play in one country rather than against a whole world of budding sports enthusiasts. But be as specific or general as you prefer.

Signing up is usually pretty straightforward and most games will allow people to join at any stage. So even if it is midway through the season, you can still get involved with the weekly or monthly competitions that are being held - just as you can with fantasy games for instance.

Each site will have its own nuances when it comes to actually playing and scoring the game, so you will have to do a little investigative work to find out what to do. Often though you will simply need to guess a score, the outcome of an event or something a little trickier. You'll be given your online form to fill in and away you go. Results will then be tabulated and a winner determined - it's as easy, and fun, as that.

Arcade Golf Games

Arcade games are quite popular, including sports games like rugby, basketball, golf, etc. Such games focus more towards faster game plays and high scores, adding to their competitive nature.

Arcade golf games make a great sales tool for trade show contests, parties, corporate events and even putting practice. They even boast of realistic sounds and running commentary. They come fully equipped with a golf course graphic screen, PVC golf balls and tethered balls, electronic mat, a putting hole, putting green mat, tee, electronic module and flag. All you will have to do is get the clubs.

The Golden Tee is one such golf arcade game phenomenon. It has rivaled the pool table and the dartboard as a popular bar game. Since it is a coin-operated game, the money it makes goes to the distributor. The trajectory of the ball, usage of the backspin and controls to increase your shot accuracy can all be found in such golf arcade games. Some enthusiasts, who can afford to, also buy and keep such games at home. If they are married, then all they need is an extremely supportive and understanding spouse! The electronic golf arcade games need batteries to run, though they are not included in the package itself. You can buy them online or otherwise. These games have options for single or multi-player tournaments. Some have ticket dispensers, coin mechanisms or a free play mode. They also have built-in wheels, which makes them easily portable. The PGA Tour Golf 2006 Challenge Home Edition is an awesome design which even allows you to tee off during your choice of dawn, dusk or midday, with effects like fog and rain which actually affect the game. Everything is incredibly detailed, from the waterfalls and trees to the dimples on the ball. You can even make the golfer look like you or your best friend!

Such versions of these arcade games give you an experience of unparalleled reality and remarkable play at that.

Sports in Honduras - Numbers & Curiosity Items!

Road to London 2012!

La Havana 1930

Did you know- By 1930, the team from Honduras captured the bronze medal -after Cuba (gold) and Costa Rica (silver)-- in men's football at the Second Central American and Caribbean Games in Havana, Cuba. Understandably, soccer is the most popular sport in Honduras.

Mexico City 1975

Did you know- By October 1975,the Republic of Honduras sent a team of 14 athletes, led by its young athlete Santiago Fonseca, to the United Mexican States, home to the VII Pan American Games. This Spanish-speaking nation competed in athletics ( 4), boxing (4), cycling (5), and shooting (1). Curiously Tegucigalpa -as Belize, Bolivia, and Paraguay-did not send sportswomen to Mexico City. On the other hand, the national delegation, once again, did not win Pan American medals. However, the best athlete was Santiago Fonseca, the "star of the Honduran Olympic team", who finished sixth in the men's 20-kilometer walk ( in a time of 1.44.10,64), ahead of Ernesto Alfaro (Colombia, South American champ) and José Valle (Nicaragua). Prior to 1975, Honduran athletes had finished last place in the Pan American Games.

Puerto Rico 1979

Did you know- By 1979, the Honduran Olympic Committee had sent Santiago Fonseca, a racewalker, to the Pan American Games in Puerto Rico. During that event, he came in fourth place in the men's 20-kilometer walk. However, Fonseca's notable performance was interrupted when he could not go to Moscow, home to the Summer Olympics in July and August 1980. In Tegucigalpa, the nation's capital, Mr Fonseca used his symbol as a national champ to raise awareness about the potential of sport to help young people.

Moscow 1980

Did you know- Because of the Soviet invasion in Afghanistan, like many anti-Communist nations, Honduras declined to send an national delegation to the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow, USSR (present-day Russia). The decision was another blow to sport in Honduras, with one of the worst Olympic systems in the Western Hemisphere.

Havana 1982

Did you know- Due to its anti-Soviet policy, Honduras, along with El Salvador and Colombia, boycotted the XIV Central American and Caribbean Games in Havana, Cuba, in the early 80s. At that time, Tegucigalpa had not diplomatic ties with Cuba and other Communist states.

Seoul 1988

Did you know- The nation's swimmer Ana Fortin came in 33rd place in the women's 100-meter backstroke at the 1988 Summer Games, between Chi Wang (Taiwan) and Tricia Duncan (US Virgin Islands).

Mar del Plata 1995

Did you know- The Latin American country won its first Pan American medal in the Continental Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in the mid-1990s.

Atlanta 1996

Did you know- In 1996, Darwin Angeles, a boxer, was the flag-bearer for the country's Olympic delegation in the Games of the XXVI Olympiad in Atlanta (Georgia, U.S.).

San Salvador 2002

Did you know- At the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador, the team of Honduras finished 16th in the medal count, with nine medals (1 silver and eight bronze).
